Situated in highland area, Hiep Duc Power Branch has always completed its task which is to provide stable, reliable power supply to the two districts, contributing to local socio-economic development. However, language barrier always makes it difficult to communicate with local customers. So, in addition to improving specialized knowledge, proposing innovative ideas and applying IT-digital transformation into the work, staff of Hiep Duc Power Branch, especially electricians of Phuoc Son Operation Team, try to learn local ethnic language to facilitate communication with locals.
Mr. Tran Van Hoa – an electrician of Phuoc Son Operation Team says “In these highland districts, there are specialized programs in Bnoong language broadcasted on radio, television station for local ethnics to update daily news. Once being adept in the language, we can easily understand daily conversations, which in turn facilitate the work at site”.
Mr. Le Mai Bien – Deputy Manager of Hiep Duc Power Branch shares “In order to understand needs and wished of customers, our staff must at least understand their language. With the advantage of having some local ethnic employees, learning local ethnic language has become easier for other staff thanks to available support and guidance. Especially, for staff who frequently meet and communicate with customers, dissemination and explanation of power safety usage, power corridor safety guidance in Bnoong language has helped to create trust, closeness to customers, which in turn, contributes to completing assigned targets of the Power Branch”.
