Mr. Vo Quang Lam _ Vice President of EVN and Chairman of Board of Directors of EVNCPC inspected the project “Central Power Solar Plant”
In the afternoon of June 20th, 2019, Mr. Vo Quang Lam visited and worked with Project Management Board of Central Power Solar Plant (the project PMU) at Cam An Bac commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province. At the site, the project PMU reported the project progress of the remaining work items for Phase 1 to Mr. Lam.

Mr. Vo Quang Lam said: The project “Central Power Solar Plant” invested by EVNCPC is one of the big renewable energy projects of EVN. So far, this is the tertiary project implemented by EVN’s member. This is an important project not only for EVNCPC but for EVN as well. The project “Central Power Solar Plant” at Cam Lam – Khanh Hoa province demonstrates EVN’s effort in pioneering, implementing new technologies in order to supplement the national power system with new power sources.
Mr. Lam stated: “With effort and resolution of power-sector staff and contractors, a colossal amount of work was completed in a short period, meeting the requirement of Phase 1 of the project with power yield of 10MW. And as recorded yesterday, monitoring system displayed that the generated power yield reached 80% with over 8MW. This is a large power yield, as per the project design.”
However, Mr. Vo Quang Lam pointed out that there are still many difficulties that need to be overcome in the future and require more efforts and high determination. One of the important work items is to enhance the cooperation with local authorities in solving issues relating to project land in order to implement 110kV power line as per the assigned progress. On that basis, it will make it possible for the whole project to be put into operation in QIV/2019 as per the whole project progress.
In order to put 10MW of the project “Central Power Solar Plant” into operation and to connect the project with national power system before 30/6/2019, CREB staff as well as contractors have shown their high determination, have worked through days and nights at site to accomplish each work item on time. And these efforts and determinations were commended by Mr. Vo Quang Lam_Vice President of EVN and Chairman of Board of Directors of EVNCPC.
The scope of the project is about 50mW in capacity and the main packages include: 50MW photovoltaic plant, 22/110kV-63MVA step-up substation and 110kV power line connecting into national power system at Cam Ranh 110kV substation with 14km power line. When completing, the Plant will provide an annual power yield of 87.6GWh, participate in ensuring power demand for local loads, contribute to the power yield from renewable energies as per the roadmap approved by the Government at the Decision 2068/QD-TTg dated 25/11/2015.
