The homes warmly filled with love
Dak Nong Power Company (DNoPC), in addition to ensure the power supply for local people’s production and lives in the serving areas, the company shows their commitment on the roles to local people with social responsibilities, supports the local people’s authority to take care of vulnerable families and ones contributed to the revolution.
70-year-old lady, Ms. Ha Thi Sinh living alone at Long Son commune, Dak Mil district, Dak Nong province
In 2020, DNoPC continues to support the constructing of 6 houses for those above-mentioned families at Dak Song, Cu Jut, Dak Mil, Dak R’Lap, Tuy Duc, Krong No of Dak Nong province. Accordingly, DNoPC contacts to the local commune’s authorities to survey and select 01 household that has difficulties for their living space, then each house was supported with the budget of VND 50 million. Those constructions have been completed and handled to those families within September 2020.
Visiting home of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoach, born in 1958 living with his wife at Bon Jari, Dak Mol commune, Dak Song district, under their very old house of only 20m2 width, he confessed: “My family is so glad to be informed that power company support us to rehabilitate our house. Our hope unexpectedly now becomes true. The new house shall be my motivation to focus on earning our living and escape from being the poor”. His house used to be broken the rooftop, unstable tower without budget to rehabilitate because of his unstable career, low income and spending almost on his wife’s medical cost.

In case of Ms. Ha Thi Sinh, at her 70s, she lives by herself at Long Son commune, Dak Mil district, Dak Nong without any descendant taking care of. Her home resembles a tent with only 8m2 width, under the boiling weather, it becomes stuffy. Her appliances are very minimal with 2 saucepans, a basin for washing clothes and 3 bowls for her meals, sleeping on an overspent mat. Said by Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, on behalf of the local authorities, Ms. Sinh’s case is the miserable one. She is living alone and usually sick, having weak visual capacity which is difficult for her living. Furthermore, her age and health condition now are quite difficult to earn living, the neighbors sometimes come to help with her meals, otherwise, she has anything that she can find for meals.
Sharing with these difficult cases for their own homes, over the time, the campaign to support with constructing their homes hold by DNoPC becomes the highlight among enterprises in local area. From 2015-2020, the company has contributed to construct over 10 houses with budget of over VND 500 million, aiming to enlighten their dreams of owning decent homes, reduce the struggles of those vulnerable cases and assure their participation on the sustained poverty reduction activities.
