Quang Ngai: Electricity output in the first 3 months of 2020 increased by 20.28%
In the first 3 months of 2020, together with the whole country in the prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic, Quang Ngai PC has provided safe and stable electricity not only to meet the demand for production, business and the people’s daily necessity, but also for health clinics and centralized quarantine facilities in the area.
Repairing the power grid
According to statistics, the maximum capacity in the first 3 months of 2020 reached 236.6 MW, increased 17.1% as compared to the same period in 2019. Quang Ngai PC has basically completed the tasks of the first quarter of 2020: Power sales reached 335.36 million kWh, increased 20.28% compared to the same period in 2019; power loss: 3.25%; reliability indicators of power supply continued; the number of incidents occurred on the grids and substations has decreased significantly.
In Quarter I/2020, Quang Ngai PC has developed 3,618 meters; received 16 customers, in which Quang Ngai PC invested in 5 customers and 11 customers invested by themselves with the average settlement time of 2.42 days per customer. Quang Ngai PC continues focusing on investing, improving and upgrading the power grid and completed 05 investment and construction projects and 02 overhauls.
Regarding the inspection and supervision of electricity trading, Quang Ngai PC has conducted inspections and detected and dealt with 825 cases of electricity use violations, in which 299 cases of price violations, 495 cases of other violations and 31 cases of electricity thieves; collected and fined 193.54 million VND.

In Quarter II/2020, the climate is still unpredictable, Quang Ngai PC has set the goals to: focus on ensuring power supply in the dry and hot seasons in 2020; inspect and manage the operation of the power grid to reduce incidents and ensure safe and stable power supply to customers; prioritize in speeding up the investments and construction projects, overhaul works that are planned to reduce the power loss; continue to implement the solutions to reduce incidents on the power grid; thoroughly examine the possible risks and incidents of 110kV power grid; enhance the development the rooftop solar system, support the customers and investors in consulting, surveying and connecting the rooftop solar power to EVNCPC’s power grid; sign agreements to adjust loads for non-commercial customers, especially key customers.
