Thua Thien Hue Power Company: Integrating electricity services into Hue-S smart urban application

After two months of research, Thua Thien Hue Power Company has completed the pilot integration of electricity services into smart city application Hue-S, aiming to apply digital transformation in business & customer service fields. People and organizations could look up their electricity consumption and payment history, and power cut schedule.

Hue-S is an integrated mobile application and seen as the province’s e-government service. Hue-S provides a lot of smart city services such as: warning information, urban monitoring through camera sensor, smart taxi, etc. The functions of Covid-19 epidemic management have also been added to this application; for example: suspected infection report, medical assistance request, asks and answers, notification, and warning. Currently, Hue-S has had over 350,000 downloads and more than 50,000 regular accounts. The roadmap is that all smart city services will be provided on a single application, and this is widely used by 100% of the citizen.

Electricity services have been integrated into Hue-S application, allowing authenticated identification accounts link to their electricity user accounts to look up their electricity consumption and payment history, and power cut schedule, ensuring customer information security.

In the coming time, Thua Thien Hue Power Company, following EVNCPC request, continues to study phase 2: provide online payment service through intermediate payment gateways in Hue-S application. The completion of this pilot integration of electrical services into Hue-S is considered as the Company effort in implementing EVNCPC’s mission of digital transformation in business & customer service fields: supplying necessary information to clients proactively, accurately, and timely through the right communication channel.
