Press release: EVN and 02 subsidiaries awarded Vietnam's excellent digital transformation enterprise 2021

On the afternoon of 9 December 2021 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Digital Media Association held the "Vietnam Digital Awards 2021" award ceremony. Vietnam Electricity (EVN) was honored as the Excellent Digital Transformation Enterprise in 2021. Along with EVN, 02 subsidiaries of the Group were also honored in the event this year.

This is the third time in a row that EVN has been honored as the Excellent Digital Transformation Enterprise. To win this important award, EVN together with 53 enterprises, technology groups, and state agencies has passed more than 300 finalist submissions in 4 categories: Typical products, services, digital solutions; Excellent digital transformation business; Excellent digital transformation State agency; Narrow down the digital gap. The award is given to digital transformation solutions of units and organizations that have made achievements in the digital transformation and development of Vietnam's digital economy.

To become an excellent digital transformation enterprise 3 times in a row, EVN has implemented digitization and IT application in most of the Group's operational areas. EVN has self-developed 16 shared software systems throughout the Group and dozens of other specific applications. The software systems have basically met the core business processes in most of the Group's business operations. Typical digital transformation application solutions to help EVN become an excellent digital enterprise in 2021 that have been honored by the Organizing Committee this time include:

- Electronic Portal (EVNPortal) software to support EVN's administrative reform program.

- Providing electrical services software by electronic transaction method.

These are two important software in the solution of becoming a digital enterprise of EVN with EVNPortal being the main component in the total solution of the Digital Office (Electronic Office) of EVN. The EVN portal system is deployed and applied at EVN and units throughout the Group; creating a comprehensive information channel providing information of the Group to all employees in EVN;

In addition to developing the Digital Office platform, EVN has deployed electricity services by electronic transaction method and applied at EVN, Power Corporations/ Power companies/ Customer care centers nationwide with more than 28 million power customers in Vietnam. The customers who use electricity within the management scope of the power unit can search and download the power purchase agreement and electricity service records in multi-channel electronic form such as through the Customer Service website, Customer care mobile application, Zalo Page.

Up to now, all online-provided electricity services have reached level 4, which is the highest level of e-Government, and at the same time, EVN is also the leader in providing services on the National Service Portal with electricity service requests accounting for more than 50% of the total requests of all ministries/sectors/localities on the Portal. By the end of 2021, up to 99.66% of new power purchase agreements have been signed by customers using this electronic form. The efforts to reform electricity service procedures and improve the quality of power supply have contributed to improving Vietnam's electricity access index (which is one of 10 indicators for assessing the business environment) to reach 27/190 countries and economies in the world and 4th in the ASEAN region.
